Site Launched!

My NametagHello everybody who may or may not be interested in my life in the mission field! I’d like to report that I’m now making this website that I will be able to use as my own lovely site for updating all the info and whatnot from my mission. It should be good stuff, I hope.

If all goes well, I should be able to send emails to my own site and have them posted here. Hopefully I can also work it out so that the site will send emails to everybody letting them know that I just updated the site. Anyway, it should all work out well enough. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to use this as well… I dunno. I’ll work it all out, though.

Anyway, so that’s what the deal is. I may, in the near future, decide to put up some of the older emails and whatnot that I sent out. You see, then I’d have a complete website chronicling my entire mission. So, I suppose that would probably be a pretty good idea. That, and I’ll be able to let people search through my posts and all that. Anyway, I think that this site is a good idea. I hope that it keeps doing its job well enough.

  1. Clearly this isn’t how it’s going to actually be. I’ve still got some customization of the site in general and all to do before it’s all complete. As a matter of fact, these comments are what are giving me the most trouble as of this moment. You see, I really need to work this all out to get everything here finished.

  2. Looks great!!!

  3. Why, thank you! I’m just working out a few bugs and hoping that I can effectively get the email notification system to work. Right now I’m having some problems with it at the server level, which I can’t fix myself. But I’ve contacted my host and they’re working on the problem. So, yeah. I suppose that’s good news.

But in other news, I’m working on brushing up the nav bar over on the left-hand side of the screen. I want to make it very simple but usable, as well as have a little bit of additional information. Anyway, that’s what I’m doing with most of my time right now.

  4. Oh my Russell… How I’ll miss you!

  5. Awwww… That makes me feel all nice and warm. It’s good to know that you’ll miss me. I’d say that I’ll miss me too, but that wouldn’t really make any sense, now would it?

To create code blocks or other preformatted text, indent by four spaces:

This will be displayed in a monospaced font. The first four
spaces will be stripped off, but all other whitespace
    will be preserved.

Markdown is turned off in code blocks:

To create not a block, but an inline code span, use backticks:

Here is some inline `code`.
